Often, these community associations organize events to celebrate Sankranti, Ugadi, Vishu, Dassehra, Diwali and Ganesh Chaturthi and Indian Independence Day, Republic Day that bond the community.

Most of these events include cultural programs like Kuchipudi dance and Carnatic Music concerts and as well as food vendors serving Pongal, Idly, Tandoori Chicken, Dokhla, Samosa, Masala Dosa, Utappam, Pongal, Dum Biryani etc.
